The Archery Northern Ireland Competitions Working Group is inviting expressions of interest from affiliated clubs across Northern Ireland interested in hosting the 2027 Northern Ireland 3D Championships.

The championships are scheduled to take place between 1 April and 30 September 2027.

Interested clubs are encouraged to review the attached document, which outlines the hosting requirements, selection criteria and application process.

Archery GB will be hosting an online information evening for Northern Ireland clubs interested in learning more about the OnTarget Club Development Programme.

The session will provide an opportunity for clubs to find out more about the OnTarget programme, how it supports club development and what it could offer their club.

Archery Northern Ireland is inviting affiliated clubs across Northern Ireland to submit an Expression of Interest to host the 2027 Northern Ireland Junior Indoor Championships. The event will be a Portsmouth (60cm) and is to take place between 1 February and 14 March 2027. Expression of Interest to host the Junior Indoor Championships.

Clubs interested in hosting are asked to read the attached document in full and submit the required information to the Competitions Working Group by 12 noon on Friday 9 October 2026.

Going forward, we will be sharing monthly competition posts like this rather than approving individual posts advertising specific club shoots. We feel this is the fairest way to promote all of our clubs equally and avoid showing favouritism towards any one club or competition.

Archery Northern Ireland’s draft Regional Competitions Strategic Plan 2026 is now available for consultation.

The plan has been developed by the Competition Group and aims to help bridge the gap between grassroots clubs and regional high-performance pathways, while coordinating resources, standardising competition hosting and supporting sustainable growth across Northern Ireland over the next four years.

The draft covers a wide range of areas, including the development of regional competition opportunities, indoor and outdoor leagues, schools competitions, future National Tour events, competition finances, hosting arrangements, NI records and awards, and the development of a regional equipment pool.

📅 Consultation period: 24 September – 16 October 2026

We would encourage clubs, archers, coaches, judges, tournament organisers and other members of the archery community to take the time to read through the draft plan and provide their feedback during the consultation period.

Your views are important in helping shape the future development and delivery of competitions across Northern Ireland.
